Assistantships
Not to be confused with the practicum experience, an assistantship helps in financing graduate study while also providing important practicial knowledge. In return for financial assistance, students work a set number of hours in various functional areas of student affairs. Mulitple assistantships are avialable at Northeastern Unviersity and at local colleges. Although abundant, assistantships are competitive and therefore it is strongly recommended that all admissions materials be submitted by February 1, 2008 for priority assistantship consideration. The total financial benefit of an assistantship varies as some include tuition assistance as well as room and board. Assistantship functional areas at local colleges:Academic Advising
